Our store is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 7pm and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

Momma Bears Creates sells handmade keepsakes, memory bear & Pillows crafted from loved ones clothes

A memory bear takes around 4–8 hours to sew, while a keepsake pillow takes about 4–6 hours. Because each piece is handmade in turn, turnaround times can vary – and at busy times (like Christmas) they can increase. That’s why my Christmas cut-off date is October 1st, so every keepsake is made with the love and care it deserves.

The amount of fabric depends on the design you choose:

• Small bears & shirt memory pillows – Usually just 1 clothing item is enough, though you can provide more if you’d like extra pieces included.
   
• Memory pups – Require around 1 square metre of fabric (such as a medium dog bed or a small blanket).
   
• Patchwork pillows & large bears – Can use between 2 and 9 clothing items, depending on the look and variety you’d like.

I can work with most fabrics as all items are fully lined. However, super stretchy, very sheer/see-through, or extremely thick fabrics are not recommended.

You’re responsible for getting the clothes to me, but I’m happy to make drop-off arrangements if you live locally — just let me know and we’ll arrange a convenient time.

Posting your items (if you can’t drop them off):

• Please pack items securely — paper isn’t ideal as it can tear. You don’t need to buy special postal bags; recycled grocery or strong bin bags are perfectly fine as long as they’re sealed and won’t come open in transit.
• If possible, add a little padding (tissue or lightweight bubble wrap) around delicate pieces to protect them.
• Clearly include your name, address and contact details — you can put these on the outside and also include a note with the same details inside the parcel.
• If you have an order number or special instructions (e.g., “make a memory bear from this jumper”), pop a short note inside so nothing gets missed.
• I recommend sending via Royal Mail 1st Class Tracked & Signed For so both of us can follow the parcel — it gives extra peace of mind.

Extra tip: Take a quick photo of each item before posting — it helps with records and is useful if there are any issues in transit.

This gives both you and me peace of mind that your precious items are safe and traceable every step of the way. 

Absolutely. Many customers mix favourite T-shirts, jumpers, pyjamas or baby outfits. I can blend colours and textures so your bear has a beautiful “storytelling” feel.

Only if you’d like to. Some families prefer to keep the natural scent of their loved one’s clothing, and that’s completely fine. I work with items exactly as you send them.

Yes, I make keepsakes from pet blankets, towels, coats and bedding. These pieces often hold so much love and comfort. I can also add a heart, tag or embroidery with your pet’s name.

Hair can be sealed inside a clear vinyl heart and attached as a charm to your bear or pup. Ashes or hair can be included a small zipped pouch inside the bear or pup  (please message me first so we can plan it safely). 

My keepsakes are designed as decorative, sentimental items rather than toys. They are not CE/UKCA tested, so they’re not suitable for under-14s to play with. They’re perfect for display, snuggles and comfort.

Yes! Lots of customers secure their space first and post the clothing afterwards — especially for Christmas or school-leaver keepsakes.
